What is Soma?
A drug that is used as skeletal muscle relaxant whose active metabolite is meprobamate. Soma (Carisoprodol) is a colorless, crystalline powder, having a mild, characteristic odor and a bitter taste. It is slightly soluble in water and freely soluble in alcohol, chloroform and acetone.

Directions:
Soma is to be taken by mouth and swallowed whole with a full glass of water. Do not split, chew or crush them. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Storage:
- Keep Soma in a tightly closed container.
- Keep Soma out of reach of children.
- Store Soma at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture. It should not be kept inside the bathroom.
- Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your medication.

Warning:
Before taking Soma, advise your doctor and pharmacist about the following conditions:
- If you are allergic to Soma or any other drugs.
- If you are taking prescription and nonprescription medications.
- If you have or have a pre-existing condition such as kidney or liver disease.
- If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or currently breast-feeding.
- If you become pregnant while still on medication with Soma, consult with your physician immediately.
